Evandro is injured while trying to help a man who has been stabbed. At the hospital, a woman faints at the reception desk. Hungry, her son grabs a sandwich and is restrained by the police.

A pedestrian struck by a car and the vehicle's passengers arrive at the emergency department. Mauro is the new chief. Vera's son steals his mother's prescription pad, and Evandro receives a call from Diana.

Diana arrives with a very sick baby. Everyone suspects the baby is Evandro's. While dealing with urgent cases, the doctors decide the baby needs surgery.
