When Amy assigns an uncomfortable Jonah to the gun section of Cloud 9, Jonah abuses his right-to-refuse sale to anyone that causes concern, causing an open-carry protest to gather in the store. On principle, Glenn attempts to purchase all of the store's morning-after pills, but finds himself in a moral dilemma when he can't afford them. Dina, Garrett and Mateo hunt down a crow that has flown into the store.

When local small businesses set up shop inside Cloud 9, Glenn tries to help his wife Jerusha sell her handmade needlepoint, despite Jonah's concerns that he's pressuring his employees. Meanwhile, Amy doesn't feel Latina enough when a guy flirts with her in Spanish, and Garrett tries to uncover the truth behind a beer vendor's product.

After a long day, the entire staff is waiting for a truck to deliver new Cloud 9 signage that they'll have to hang throughout the store by morning. Everyone has somewhere to be, tensions are running high and it's only made worse when Glenn announces that the truck is delayed and they're in for a long night. With hours to kill in an empty Cloud 9, our gang finds themselves bonding in the most unusual and creative ways..

The store hosts a gender reveal party for Glenn and his wife Jerusha, just as Dina is freaking out at the realities of having to deliver a baby. Amy receives some unsettling news.

Amy's daughter Emma is without childcare and has to come to the store for the day. Unfortunately, this is against store policy, so when Glenn pulls Amy away to help him with a task, Jonah has to keep Amy's secret and an eye on Emma. Elsewhere Mateo and Cheyenne fight over a couch that is on sale because an elderly man passed away on it and Dina tries to catch a shoplifter.

Dina's feelings for Jonah at last come to a head, causing Jonah to panic and stirring up complications at the store. Meanwhile, Amy and Mateo vie for an open position.

Much to Amy's dismay, Glenn hires Amy's husband, Adam, for some extra help, exposing her in ways in which she is not prepared. Frustrated with the lazy, noncommittal temps, Jonah and Garrett start an employee draft to place bets on who will quit first while Glenn tries to find the perfect person to play Santa at the store for Christmas.

At the beginning of every year, Cloud 9 employees hold a "lost and found bin cleanout" to get rid of all the unclaimed items. Amy unknowingly walks away with a huge wad of cash and Jonah is determined to help her find the best use for it. Meanwhile, Cheyenne proves she is never one to keep a secret and Dina pushes Garrett over the edge.

Jeff lets the employees know that Rex, a vice president from corporate, will be coming by the store to help with the rollout for Cloud 9's store-wide rebranding, and it turns out Rex is someone from Jonah's past. Amy and Garrett are delighted to hear Rex's stories about Jonah. Meanwhile, Mateo is stunned to learn of rumors that Jeff is in a relationship with an employee. Dina must retaliate against a snitch and Cheyenne tries to take advantage of the discounted "Halo" products.

During the morning meeting, Glenn accidentally tells the employees the real reason Amy has been late to work lately. Meanwhile, Dina tries to cheer up Amy by kidnapping her for a "ladies' lunch." Jonah and Garrett invent a game to pass the time, tricking Glenn and Mateo in the process. Cheyenne helps Amy take a fearless step with a dramatic new look.

Still fresh from her divorce, Amy doesn't feel ready to start dating again. But when Mateo tries to set her up with his loser cousin, she gets determined to show everyone she can do better and breaks some hearts in the process. Dina takes advantage of a medical condition to scam Glenn into accommodating her every need.

Laurie, the new district manager, visits the store and decides to make some cuts to save money. Amy and Jonah plead with her to not fire anyone and search for other ways to make up the money. Meanwhile, Mateo struggles to prove his skills on the cash register.

As lottery mania sweeps the store, Dina incentivizes the employees to sell as many tickets as possible. Meanwhile, Jonah helps Amy track down the new district manager to lobby for a raise.

Despite Dina's protests, Amy lets Glenn's pastor host an Earth Day booth at the store, but things quickly unravel when Glenn won't recognize Amy's authority. Jonah spearheads Cloud 9's green initiative, but is met with apathy from his coworkers.

When Glenn publicly congratulates Jonah for his superb test results, Amy becomes slightly annoyed and competitive, resulting in a chaotic battle of street smarts vs. book smarts. Meanwhile, the rest of the Cloud 9 team are on the lookout for a secret shopper, determined to be on their best behavior for him.

After a group of Cloud 9 employees walk out to protest Glenn's firing in last season's finale, Amy convinces her co-workers to turn the walkout into a full-fledged strike. Jonah tries to make the most of his one year of business school by joining Amy in negotiating with corporate. Almost immediately the ambitious Mateo regrets going on strike and sneaks back into the store to impress Jeff, the district manager corporate sent to manage the store during the crisis. Dina is also determined to impress Jeff as she's trying to be renamed assistant manager, and Garrett meets a beautiful woman on the picket line who proves too good to be true.

When Cloud 9's spokesman is accused of a heinous crime, Glenn worries that he doesn't know enough about his employees and Dina exploits his concerns by carrying out storewide drug testing. Meanwhile, Amy and Jonah have a fun, flirty day avoiding work and daring each other with a series of pranks; Cheyenne can't stop talking about her baby, which annoys Garrett ; and Mateo continues to look for romance in his ambiguous relationship with Jeff.

The storewide heater malfunction magnifies angry tensions between Amy, Jonah and the back warehouse employees after both sides refuse to clean up a spill. Meanwhile, Dina and Garrett find a way to pass the time and Cheyenne helps Glenn through an existential crisis as he tries to fix the heater himself.

Trying to prove how "wild" she can be, Amy turns a boring Christmas Eve at Cloud 9 into a holiday adventure. Meanwhile, Jonah and Garrett's roommate issues boil over; and Glenn tries to prove to Mateo that Christmas is more than just "fine."

When Amy throws a party to prove how great she's doing post-divorce, she's forced to enlist Dina and Jonah's help, and Dina ends up making the ultimate sacrifice. Meanwhile, Glenn and his wife Jerusha are forced to conduct some personal business at Amy's home.

The game is afoot when Glenn declares that all employees will receive a $100 bonus if the store reaches a certain sales goal by the end of the day. As the associates scramble to upsell their customers, Jonah struggles with his morality while convincing a customer to purchase many expensive items. Unfortunately for Ben, this customer happens to be Amy's husband! Meanwhile, a bored Glenn and Dina work together to throw a party for everyone after they meet their sales goal.

Although Cheyenne finally has the baby, she refuses to stop working as Cloud 9 employees do not get paid maternity leave. Jonah insists that they contact corporate to ask for a change, but when Amy makes the call, Ben mentions the word union, sending corporate into a frenzy and resulting in a representative flying out to Cloud 9. This only makes matters worse...

Dina throws a wrench in everyone's Halloween plans when something goes missing from the store and declares that no employee can leave until someone confesses to stealing. Amy is determined to find out who is responsible because she doesn't want to miss trick-or-treating with her daughter and Mateo prepares for his secret date with Jeff. Meanwhile, Jonah and Cheyenne struggle to bond until they discover they have more in common than they thought. Garrett has a difficult time defending himself during the store-wide investigation.
