Yamcha, who had left martial arts to become a professional baseball player, decides to train under Kami after learning of Goku's death and the Saiyan invasion. Meanwhile, Gohan, who has been surviving in the wilderness, begins caring for an injured herbivorous dinosaur.

After hearing the story of Krillin and Bulma, he decides to undergo training from Kami. At the same time, Goku has finally made it halfway down the Snake Path.

Hands Off! Enma-sama's Secret FruitTenshinhan and his friends start climbing the Karin Tower to undergo training from God. At the same time, Goku slips off Snake Way while sleeping and falls into Hell. Unable to return, Goku tries to eat the fruit of the Enshou Tree, but the demons Gozu and Mezu notice him. However, after hearing the story, they challenge Goku to a game of tag, on the condition that they show him the way out of Snake Way.

Then, Goku returns to Snake Way and discovers a mansion along the way, where he is drawn in by a mysterious force. What's more, the owner of the mansion, the Snake Princess, falls in love with Goku at first sight. She uses various tactics to try and stop him, but Goku evades all of her temptations and tries to hurry on.

Escape from Piccolo! Gohan Summons a StormWhen Goku had finally traveled halfway, Gohan, who was training in the wilderness, became homesick and tried to go back home. However, no matter how much he ran along the coast after passing through the desert, he always ended up back where he started. Curious, Gohan climbed a mountain and discovered that he was on an island.

Run, Gohan! Longing for Mt. Paozu, Where Chi-Chi is WaitingGohan is caught in a storm and thrown into the sea, where he washes up on a shore where he is rescued by some unknown children. The group is orphans who have lost their parents and are living alone in the ruins, led by the eldest, Piguero. They refuse to be placed in an orphanage and have been on the run.

After that, Krillin and the others, who are fed up with not receiving much training, are led to a room where all time is mixed together and are sent on a journey through time. Having traveled through time and space, the four are suddenly attacked by a mysterious duo.

The Return of the Saiyan Legend! Goku's RootsThe next training that King Kai assigns to Goku is to hit Gregory with a hammer. Gregory is faster than Bubbles, so Goku desperately pursues him! One day, King Kai tells Goku the history of the evil Saiyans and how they were wiped out, leaving only four of them.

Come Forth, Shenlong! The Saiyans Finally Arrive on EarthGoku finishes his training on King Kai's planet and tests the power of the super technique, the Spirit Bomb, taught to him by King Kai.
