While adjusting to their new surroundings the team investigates a series of violent public riots that are breaking out on the east coast. The only connection between the riots is a runaway teen, an Alpha, who overproduces certain pheromones that causes people nearby to become violent. Rosen's team must find a way to stop this Alpha without losing control themselves.

As Rachel returns home from her first date with new suitor, their first kiss overloads her senses. Back at the office, Dr. Rosen and his team of Alphas become official members of the Defense Criminal Investigation Service.

An investigation leads Harken and Hicks to go undercover in a secret, underground Alphas-only Fight Club where they meet "Kat", a wry, fast-talking, energetic fellow Alpha whose ability is that she's able to instantly memorize any physical or mental skill. Ultimately Kat is put in jeopardy by the bad guys and Harken and our team rescue her. In the end, Rosen considers inviting Kat to join their odd-ball family of quirky superheroes.
