Kaffeefahrten können manchmal tödlich enden. Das erfahren Wolff und Tom, als eine Veranstaltungsteilnehmerin durch einen Stromschlag aus einer auf der Fahrt verteilten Heizdecke getötet wird. Es stellt sich heraus, dass die Decke manipuliert war. Ihr Sohn, der noch bei seiner Mutter lebte, hat ein starkes Motiv für einen absichtlich herbeigeführten Tod. Wolff und Tom untersuchen nicht nur dieses Motiv, sondern auch die Kaffeefahrt-Veranstalter und ihre Angestellten.
